Equipment / Capabilities

In-house sandblasting with a 14’x28’ blast room.

EMPIRE® 10.5 cu ft blast pot and 1” blast hose.

28”x60” blast cabinet for smaller more delicate parts. We frequently check our media’s cleanliness. Media type may be switched out at any time to suit your needs (i.e., ferrous versus non-ferrous)

ROGERS® Machinery 60 Hp compressor provides the air power required for efficient blast cleaning.

Standard and oversize forklifts available for heavier projects and materials.

SPRAY WAND P-300® PRETREATMENT APPLICATION SYSTEM: A heated pressure wash system with advanced degreasing ability ensures that oils and grease are not “injected” into your metal parts. Metals are porous materials, oils and high-pressure air can be embedded into the metal and severely affect coating appearance and performance.

Blast media

We use a general purpose grit garnet that allows us to be able to blast all forms of metal without ferrous contamination to stainless steel or aluminum parts, which may happen with steel grit media.

We can exchange glass beads for blasting, cleaning, and brushing stainless steel or machined parts when a smooth final surface is required.

If your business requires a specific type of abrasive media we have the ability to modify or change our media variety.

Using a magnetic filter, air blotter, and oil tests we strive to keep our media free of contaminants.

Want to coat it yourself? We’ll prepare it!

application

Removal of old paint, powder coating, rust, or mill scale for metal preparation before coating and/or restoration.

Cleaning or distressing of wood. Softwoods become porous and gnarled in this process and hardwoods retain a cleansed surface of approximately 80 grit. Stop by our shop to test your project and its blast-ability. (3340 Roosevelt Blvd, Eugene, OR)

We can provide White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 5/NACE no.1), Near-white Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 10/NACE no.2), Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE no.3), Industrial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 14/NACE no.8), and Brush-off Cleaning (SSPC-SP 7/NACE no.4).

Metal cleaning and preparation for steel before fabrication is essential. This significantly reduces time wasted cleaning and grinding. Allow us to prepare your metal instead of you spending an exorbitant amount on a skilled welder. Final weld appearance and integrity are improved with proper cleaning. Localized corrosion is one of the most dangerous corrosive injuries metals can take and may inevitably injure a person; let us help your project be safer.

Glass bead preparation for stainless food service weldments. This not only cleans the metal without damaging its surface, but also removes weld discoloration, hides scratches and provides a final overall uniform appearance of the product. We have much experience in blasting food-grade machinery.
